I can see the appeal to having a two party system, but I haven’t seen positive outcome of a two party system in a long time. And boy do I wish I meant going to two parties every night. No, I mean political parties, and the people too ignorant of the actual issues to consider not fighting the other side.
I understand that having two political parties can be helpful to see multiple sides of the issues. But what I see is people from each side who flat out refuse to see the other side of ANY issue. That seems counterproductive to me when the two sides who should theoretically be working together do the exact opposite of working together.
Also, I’m pretty sure people would be divided over the issues anyway, but if we didn’t have a two party system then maybe the divide wouldn’t be as intense. Maybe it’s
just me being crazy, but I really think I should be able to watch five minutes of a news program without seeing a political attack at the expense of either side. I would give an example, but there are too many to choose from, my mind reels with the options.
That’s all I had, I’m not REALLY too up to date on politics. The two parties that can’t get along are the Loyalists and the Patriots, right? Or was it the Torries?
