I pity anyone who believes that the world will end in 2012.
Why would anyone believe that a calendar made by an ancient civilization is predicting the end of our world? Those crazy little fuckers could barely keep dressed, and I doubt they predicted the end of days.
I recall Y2K clearly, and I recall that machines did NOT shut down mankind as we know it, and I’m certain that the world will keep on turning well after December 20, 2012. I also have the advantage of winning no matter what. Since I’m generally a good person, if the end of the world comes in 2012, then I think I’ll at least get into some low level of heaven where I only get wings and I have to share a cloud. And if the world doesn’t end in 2012, then I get to continue being awesome.
I also have doubts about the second coming. I’m pretty sure if it hasn’t happened yet then I doubt it will happen anytime soon, if ever. Think about it: all these “miracles” happened centuries ago, but then they don’t happen again? Yeah, pretty sure it never happened and never will.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s amazing that people believe so strongly in something they only hear stories about. I can’t even stop being angry at mankind during traffic. I would love to believe in anything half as much as those nuts who expect the world to end in 2012 or when Jesus comes back. Oh well, you nuts keep on believing.
