First and foremost-Thank you Star News of Wilmington, NC for being a journalistic entity that actually reports on shit That’s Going Down instead of simply being a rag that reports the same bullshit as every other news outlet in a printed form. Yes—I mean that Sincerely. Your work on the ABC system of New Hanover county has crippled a corruption corporation completely and for that I say Thank You.
For those that are not from the great county of New Hanover, here’s the long and the short of it. The ABC system was run by a father and son in law who made shitload of money without repercussion until the Star News came thru with a seven shot .357 magnum of Truth and exposed their assess to the public and the days of taking home Large Stacks of Cash are over.
The end game? The government got involved and put the clamps on these bastards. Yes—the government Did Something Right and it’s time we fucking Notice. Not all they do is beautiful and perfect but when something is done to benefits their constituents then we Better Pay Attention. Yes Indeed, those bastards have been siphoning money off of me for far too long and I’m glad to see the bullshit stop.
A politician is someone who is involved in public decision-making. That said, the Star News is a politician because until they got involved the public had not noticed and when they dropped the hammer, the public decided to make a decision. Fantastic. We need more politicians like the Star News who are not afraid to take a stand. It was not a popular story—not even close. So many people reared back when the bullshit began to hit the fan.
Countless Letters to the Editor were from people bitching that the Star News was getting involved in a private matter when the Truth is the matter is MY business because I’m paying for it. So those who didn’t like it can Shut The Fuck Up. We need the Star News and every other whistleblower out there who’s putting the brakes on these criminals to start blasting and start saving me some Money.
