In the twenty-fifth chapter of Matthew, Jesus tells several parables. One of which goes like this (New International Version):
It does not seem that this story needs much explanation. According to Jesus, people who are Christians (i.e. Christ like) should be concerned with each
other and the well being of each other. In the story, Jesus did not say I was hard working and still did not have health care and you provided, but it does not seem like a far leap to think Jesus would be voting for universal health care.
So, I wonder in the interesting world of politics why it is those who would tout their Christianity who are first to complain about everyone getting health care? Why are they the loudest to shout that it costs too much?
I understand the economy is slow. Our Country’s needs are great. However, consider this….it was the same greedy ‘I’ll get mine and fuck everyone else’ mindset that got us here.
Do they think Jesus died on a cross so that only they could get health care? Perhaps they believe Jesus was not speaking to them. Maybe they think Jesus only meant to send help to foreign countries as a way to be able to preach the ‘good news’ of Jesus to them.
I am getting more and more fed up with so-called Christians and their incessant meddling in US Politics. I am all for free enterprise but don’t try to sell it to me as Christian. Our forefathers came here seeking religious freedom. Why do these yahoos now think they need to combine church and government. Either practice your religion and stop trying to force it on others or go start you own damn Country.
