Do NOT think I am Annabelle. We popped out of the same trapdoor and we both have blue eyes, but there the similarities end. Annabelle is an assistant kindergarten teacher. I am a radical bi feminist. Anyway, when Ann told me she had to write a column about politics, I laughed so hard I spit out my Jagermeister. Annabelle doesn’t even vote. She can’t watch the news without getting upset. So she has no political opinions. I do.
I couldn’t stand Bush I or II. Elitist white guys who have never had to actually work make me want to puke. I figured Obama would be a great change. I voted for him. I can say that now, but I have a feeling I won’t be admitting to it much longer.
What turned me against him? Money. I hate seeing my hard-earned wasted on useless crap. Besides, it’s not just me - I have a 5 year old son to think about, Bo Loudermilk. His daddy is a biker who blew thru town faster than shit thru a goose and left me with a bun in the oven. “Bo” is short for Clayton Beauregard, after my father. I don’t make a lot working part-time at the WalMart tire center. Anyway, back to my rant…
Obama is the new Louis IV, spending money like a drunken sailor. Michelle is no better. She has a staff of 22-24 people [sources vary] and we, the taxpayers, are shelling out more than $1.5 million a year to pay them. Michelle also likes to take vacations and shopping trips – New York for ‘date night”, Paris, Christmas in Hawaii. Everywhere they go outside the White House, secret service goes. It costs MILLIONS. Guess who pays that? Taxpayers.

Michelle also took a makeup artist and hair stylist to Europe, at taxpayer expense, and then she got off Air Force One recently wearing shorts and looking like a tourist. If I’m gonna pay for her to get all gussied up, why the hell can’t she look good when she gets off the damn plane?!
He’s also soft on illegal immigrants. I applaud Arizona. Did you know states spend between $11 and $22 BILLION dollars a year taking care of illegal immigrants?! That’s taxpayer money – MY MONEY, assholes! Check this out. I don’t mind my money going to help decent hardworking Americans who are down on their luck, but illegal aliens? Hell to the No. Y’all need to go back to Mexico.
Obama thinks he is a king now and he can do whatever he wants. Obama has appointed more than 34 “czars” now and only 7 have been confirmed by the senate. They each make over $170K a year. They aren’t accountable to anyone except King Obama. It’s disgusting. It’s turning this country into a monarchy. Makes me want to barf to read this!
Obama has done a lot of other things I found reprehensible. He was rude to the Dalai Llama. He spends 3 days a week campaigning instead of working. He hasn’t eliminated the idiotic “don’t ask don’t tell” rule for the military. He hasn’t brought our troops home from Afghanistan or Iraq. Now there are allegations he had an affair with a campaign worker a few years ago. I don’t care who he screws, I just don’t want him to screw around with MY MONEY!

I voted for Obama, and I sure am dissapointed, but not for all the same reasons you mention. Instead of leading, he waited and waited and waited to see who was coming with…the bank bailouts, the wars, not change I can believe in. HOWEVER: Michelle’s team of stylists don’t cost that much in the grand scheme of things, seriously, and consider that she’s representing the USA everywhere she goes, she’s gotta look really good every time she goes anywhere. It’s unnatural. Running a comb through your hair is not gonna cut it, and if she looked less than wonderful you know there would be shrieks. OF COURSE IT’S DUMB. She wasn’t elected, her looks have nothing to do with the government, but that’s what happens. Didn’t people used to carry on if Princess Diana wore the same dress 2-3 times?
As far as Arizona, it means going back to the good old days of Hitler’s Germany, when you had to be prepared to show your papers at any moment! Personally,since I had to go to the DMV without a team of stylists, I hate showing my license.
Lizzie here. Ruthless, you need to check your facts. Since 1952 it has been the law that anyone not a US citizen has to carry their papers at all times.
Illegal immigrants are flooding the Arizona borders, smuggling in drugs, terrorizing ranchers [several have been murdered] and making the border a very dangerous place. Nothing is being done about it.
Illegal aliens do not pay taxes. They are entitled to free healthcare, free lunches, welfare, etc. and it costs the US BILLIONS each year. In my community there are scary hispanic gangs that are the children of illegals. I’m tired of paying for their upkeep. They need to all go BACK, but companies who hire illegals must sure have some powerful lobbyists, because nothing is being done!
I saw a bumper sticker recently that I loved, it says “Here comes the change! Bend over!”
Certainly glad you voted for the Big O. So did I. Have I been disappointed? Yeah. But then we are stupid to believe that a ‘leader’ is going to fix everything for us. Stupid patriarchal societies. He has a plan that means he needs to be in office 8 years to effect it, and so he is treading carefully this first term. Too carefully, he may not get another. But that’s neither here nor there.
He is spending money to try and plug the hole Bushes I & II and Reagan smashed into the fundamental framework of this country. While some of his priorities would have cost anyway right now he is paying for two wars as well as the financial debacle brought on by ALL administrations for the past 30 years.
The system reeks, it is a corporatocracy and without money no one gets in, so of course the masters running the show are the ones with the bucks, not us. Dems are no better than Rethuglicans.

I have indeed checked the facts. According to both the FBI and AZ police statistics, illegal immigrants come for jobs, not to make trouble: AZ’s violent-crime statistics have dropped from 512 incidents per 100,00 in 2005 to 447/100,000 in 2008 (these are the most recent numbers available). Crime rates in the border towns are low-level, and have remained so for the past decade.And border crossings by undocumented immigrants have declined sharply from 1.8 million in fiscal 2000 to 556,000 in fiscal 2009. The weakness of the US economy might be a factor, and the increase of border patrols could be, too. (Eugene Robinson, syndicated columnist)
US Atty for AZ Burke testified before the Senate Committe for Homeland Security last month that there are roughly 10 law enforcement officers for every mile of the AZ/Mex. border.
Why not go after the Americans who hire illegals? And if you really want to keep money in your wallet, how about that Pentagon? We’ve got two wars to fund.
And as far as showing their ID papers, I’m talking about new regulations that mean EVERYONE has to carry them. I know plenty of people with green cards, Lizzie. AZ is asking for something else here.
