Has America become so star struck that no matter what a “celebrity” does, we think it’s wonderful? I am appalled and saddened that Lady Gaga was able to wear a dress made entirely from raw meat to the MTV Music Awards and no one was outraged. I know these awards shows are filled with excess and over the top behavior, but this is too much. I’m surprised she didn’t have homeless people trying to eat her shoes, or at least a pack of dogs chasing her down the street.

And the reason she gave for the “meat dress”? Protesting the treatment of gays in the military. It would have been more appropriate for her to wear a rainbow flag or something. I can’t think of one gay person I know that would wear raw meat. Unless you were talking about an incredibly attractive guy and his “personal area”. But this looked more like actual cow flesh.

There is so much wrong with this that I’m not sure where to begin. Maybe with the unsanitary factor? If everyone that came in contact with her gets salmonella…..they won’t spend too long scratching their heads about where it came from. And the crazy thing was, other people that were there acted like it was no big deal. Hugging her, talking to her – it’s scary, not to mention dangerous and gross.

And there is also the food factor. Wouldn’t it have been a better statement if she had donated the meat to a food pantry or something? Even just handing it out on the street would have been a better use of the money.

I say we invite Lady “GAG”a to the next tailgating event…..we can just throw her on the grill and have a great party!

The best comment about the article?

In this business inflation is a good thing.

Many women whose husbands have lost their jobs are hosting “adult tupperware parties” to make extra money. I say, lets be supportive. Get out there, buy some toys and have sex for the economy. It’s the American thing to do.

Members of the KKK during it’s heyday were Democrats, not Republicans, so we couldn’t possibly be racist. Seriously? That’s the best you can do? Is it not racist to compare President Obama to a monkey? The opening night speaker (and former Republican congressman) at the teabagger convention called for the return of a “literacy test” in order for people to vote. In his opinion, the Obama “mistake” would not have happened if only literate (read “white”) folks could vote.

The NAACP is racist. Mark Williams, a leader of the teabag movement called the organization racist on CNN going on to call them a “bunch of old fossils looking to make a buck off skin color”.

And my favorite – accusing USDA official Shirley Sherrod of being a reverse racist, causing her to lose her job. By yelling loudly and only giving a small part of the story, these asses were able to cause enough noise and smoke to create an impossible situation for Sherrod, one in which she had to resign from her job due to the mud slinging.

It seems to me that these people have kicked sand and are now crying because they have sand in their eyes. They are such children that they “can dish it out, but can’t take it”, as the saying goes. Don’t cry foul and unfair on one side when you are using the same sneaky, underhanded, dirty tactics that you accuse your opponents of on the other. You lose all credibility with rational Americans.

Either practice your religion and stop trying to force it on others or go start you own damn Country.

In the twenty-fifth chapter of Matthew, Jesus tells several parables. One of which goes like this (New International Version):

It does not seem that this story needs much explanation. According to Jesus, people who are Christians (i.e. Christ like) should be concerned with each other and the well being of each other. In the story, Jesus did not say I was hard working and still did not have health care and you provided, but it does not seem like a far leap to think Jesus would be voting for universal health care.

So, I wonder in the interesting world of politics why it is those who would tout their Christianity who are first to complain about everyone getting health care? Why are they the loudest to shout that it costs too much?

I understand the economy is slow. Our Country’s needs are great. However, consider this….it was the same greedy ‘I’ll get mine and fuck everyone else’ mindset that got us here.

Do they think Jesus died on a cross so that only they could get health care? Perhaps they believe Jesus was not speaking to them. Maybe they think Jesus only meant to send help to foreign countries as a way to be able to preach the ‘good news’ of Jesus to them.

I am getting more and more fed up with so-called Christians and their incessant meddling in US Politics. I am all for free enterprise but don’t try to sell it to me as Christian. Our forefathers came here seeking religious freedom. Why do these yahoos now think they need to combine church and government. Either practice your religion and stop trying to force it on others or go start you own damn Country.

I have never felt led to have sex in church. Although, maybe the right opportunity just hasn’t presented itself to me. I’m not counting it out entirely, just saying it hasn’t happened yet. Now I know that if the opportunity does arise, I better hope it’s not in Germany. A police officer was caught having sex in a Catholic church during the service. He was suspended from his job and faces three years in prison. As far as I could find, in America, the penalty forhaving sex in public is up to two years in prison. And if you are somewhere where you could expect a reasonable amount of privacy sex is not against the law. Only if you are somewhere where another person could be exposed to your shenanigans. I guess a church service counts for that…..the example given in the article I read was the middle of a crowded grocery store. Which totally made me laugh!

Even in Dubai, in the Middle East, the penalty for getting caught having sex in public seems to only be 3 months in prison. And this is the Middle East, where you know things are way more strict than most places.

So, what do you think? First, would you have sex in a church? And second, what do you think is an appropriate penalty for getting caught?

Clark Kent (don’t make me find a phone booth)
