A recent article posted on Yahoo! News reports the “subjects” of Queen Elizabeth II pay a little less than $1 a year per person to support the queen. Her yearly allowance is $12.3 million. This pays for staff among other costs. That is a lot of money to be spending on one family. But, I guess she deserves it. Being Queen is a tough job. Wait, what does she do again? Oh, that’s right. Nothing! She rides around and waves at all of her little people. If I were a citizen of Britain, I would demand at least a Thank You note written by the Queen personally.

Politics is the true BloodSport. There are no favorites—only those Willing to Get Dirty. It’s never the best and the brightest. It’s only the Least Shitty that we get to do the jobs that no one wants but everyone thinks they know how to do. Our Congress voted on the Healthcare bill and it passed viciously victoriously. Are these representatives certain that their countrymen wanted to pass this bill? Are they in direct contact with the people of New York or Nebraska or North Carolina? DC is a long ways from Nevada or New Mexico.
